Scott R. Woolley, PhD is a Professor and the Systemwide Director of the MFT Masters and Doctoral Programs in the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. He is also a founder and director of the San Diego Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy and maintains a private practice focused on EFT couples therapy.
Dr. Woolley has trained therapists in EFT in many areas of the world, including Canada, Chili, Finland, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, Taiwan, and throughout the U.S., and has co-published, co-presented, and co-trained with Dr. Susan Johnson, founder of EFT.
Dr. Woolley earned a B.S. in Economics and an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham Young University, and a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University. Dr. Woolley is an AAMFT Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor, and a Certified EFT Therapist, Supervisor, and Trainer.
Dr. Woolley maintains a limited but active private practice in Poway, California focusing on couples therapy. He typically sees couples on Tuesdays from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. He prefers a 1.5 hour format, and does not accept insurance. Dr Woolley can be reached at 760 271-3632 or swoolley@cox.net.
