4-day Externship
The first training experience is the "EFT 4-day Externship." It is prerequisite to the other trainings. Here you are given an overview of the theory and model of EFT. You will have opportunties to see therapy sessions of EFT and opportunities to practice.
The externship provides 30 CEU's.
The externship is the first step towards EFT certification/registration.
The Advanced Externship is a 2-day training where participants bring a sample of their EFT work with couples for feedback and skill development. Different aspects of the model are focused on according to participants needs and questions.
The Advanced Externship provides 12 CEU's.
To attend the Advanced Externship you need to have completed the 4-day
Externship and 10 hours of supervision (individual and/or group).
It is limited to 10 participants.
It meets a requirement towards EFT certification/registration.
The Core Skills Training is 8 total days of training. It is spread across 4 sessions and 9 months to a year. Each 2-day session of Core Skills is focused on a different process of therapy.
Core Skills provides 48 total CEU's.
To attend the Core Skills you need to have completed the 4-day Externship
and be working and taping couples.
It is limited to 10 participants.
It meets the Advanced Externship requirement towards EFT
certification/registration AND the group-supervision requirement.

Scott Woolley is Professor and Systemwide Marital and Family Therapy Program Director at Alliant International University. Scott is our foremost trainer - he has taught EFT to many thousands of therapists throughout the world.
Rebecca Jorgensen is former faculty from Brigham Young University-Idaho. She's teaches in 2 MFT programs: Advanced Couples Therapy at Alliant International University and Advanced Practicum at San Diego State University. Becca also has specialized training in On-line Education and workshop instruction. She has trained over a thousand therapists EFT throughout the United States and Canada.
Mark Kaupp is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He is an adjunct professor at both Alliant International University and San Diego State University in Their Master's and Doctorate programs and is in private pracitice located in the heart of Mission Valley in San Diego.
Lisa Palmer-Olsen is affiliated with Alliant International University where she teachers MFT Practicum. Lisa has been providing EFT "Advanced Externships" to therapists-in-training for years in the San Diego area. Lisa has a special expertise in Supervision.
Lisa Ruderman is a Marriage Family Therapist who has a private practice in La Jolla, CA. She is a Certified EFT Supervisor/Trainer and is a co-founder of the San Diego Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy. She is an adjunct faculty member at Alliant International University and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate.
